Education
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Spanish from the University of Louisville and a Master's in Literary Translation from Trinity College Dublin. My capstone research project explored a variety of Spanish language teaching methods to English-speaking students, and my Master's dissertation focused on the translation of bilingual audiovisual media.
Experience
I have over 7 years of classroom teaching experience. I have worked as an ESL teacher in a bilingual secondary school in Spain, as a Spanish teacher in a K-8 school in Kentucky, and as a professional tutor for language learners of all ages. I have completed professional development in project-based learning and response to intervention. My teaching philosophy is to meet students where they are to create engaging and relevant lessons while incorporating fun whenever possible.
